Have Nothing to do With T-issue: Rahul Aide

It is highly speculated in political circles that AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi has deputed AICC secretary and Youth Congress affairs incharge Deepak Babaria to a two-day visit to Hyderabad. The reason, it is said, is to collect first hand information about the actual situation in the city in the backdrop of Telangana agitation.

Interestingly, Babaria's meetings with CM Kiran Kumar Reddy, PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana, Dy. chief minister Damodar Rajanarasimha and also with T Congress MPs K. Kesava Rao, Ponnam Prabhakar, G. Vivek and Mr Madhu Yashki have added credence to the guessing.

However, Deepak Babaria said that his visit was primarily to look into the membership drive for the state youth Congress wing so that polls could be conducted soon. "I have nothing to do with the Telangana issue. I am not going to submit any report. My meetings with high dignitaries were just courtesy calls," he said.
