The TRS chief, Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao, asked party cadre not to be overconfident in the ensuing bypolls to Assembly constituencies but asserted that the party would win all seats hands down according to a survey made available to him. He also announced a pallebata programme to contact voters in the constituencies going to polls from January 7 to 9. In another development, TRS has decided to field party candidates in Parkal represented by Ms Konda Surekha, Congress MLA turned YSR Congress leader and in Mahbub-nagar, where the seat fell vacant due to death of Mr Rajeswar Reddy, a Congress associate member.
