BJP disappointed with WB Municipal Results

After winning the Maharashtra, Haryana and Jharkhand states, BJP president Amit Shah sets his eyes on the West Bengal state. He conducted huge meetings in Kolkata few months ago, where he declared that count down for the ruling Trinamool Congress government was begun. He asked the party cadres of the state to be prepared for upcoming assembly elections slated for December this year.

But, the people of the state gave a terrible shock to him and to his party. They voted in favor of ruling TMC in the recent Municipal elections held in the state. TMC wins 60 out of 92 municipalities in the state and 111 wards out of 144 in the Kolkata Municipal Corporation elections. Actually, TMC has been passing through several crises since last three-four months and its reputation was also badly affected with Sarada Chit Funds Scam, gang rape of Nun and several other issues. But, the latest verdict proves that its traditional vote bank is intact. Hence, BJP president has to chalk out some new plans to attract the people of the state towards his BJP.
