Smile it away!!
Sometimes, infact many a times, when we meet other parents or see their children, we may find situations where the other children are better, but that doesnot mean you should go home and start rethinking your child's IQ or his/her's behaviour. Not just parents, even children once they cross the toddler stages, start feeling nervous infront of other children who study well, who have better co-curricular grades. And when parents express the same concern, children feel even worse. That forces them to loose thier own confidence and also trust and dependency on parents, they start getting away from parents, emotionally. They may even stop to spend happier times with you, thinking you would pin-point some other mistake again.
Is it necessary to worry and worsen things? Absolutely expensive, emotionally! It will be tough on your part to regain that confidence your child had on you, they are not the simple, innocent toddlers or babies anymore to forget how harsh the parents were.
And so, please donot worry too much or even debate with other parents about eachother's children.....when someother parent is praising his/her child, you need not panic or feel uncomfortable and start to tell them about your child too or complain about your child's misbehaviour.......as said above, over-complaining is bad, same is praising too often too. Children start feeling over-confident which is also definitely deviating from the right attitude path. But, recognising and acknowledging a child's best behaviour is necessary. Finally, what i mean is.....staying calm and carrying a cool smile is better when you have competent other parents who might have hidden intentions to spoil your family harmony...!! Think! You will find such examples of people among your friends or acquaintances easily.
