Don’t Watch, If You Don’t Like The Movie
on Oct 27, 2017
Nobody knows what exactly is the reason for continues postponement in Vijay’s Adirindhi movie release in Telugu states, wherein the Tamil version was released last week to thundering response. Actually, BJP leaders criticized the film for questioning the Centre’s flagship schemes, including the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Digital India.
An advocate named Ashwathaman filed a petition in Madras Court seeking to re-censor the movie and remove few objectionable dialogues. Since, the Telugu producers didn’t get censor clearance; the movie has got postponed once again.
The Madras High Court has dismissed the petition. Observing that freedom of expression is for all, the court stated that Mersal is only a film and not real life. “If you don’t like the movie, don’t watch it. There’s no meaning of the film to have bad effect on the society,” said the court.
Apparently, with the Court’s verdict, line is almost clear for Telugu version as well. However, we need to wait for confirmation from producers!
