KCR Govt grants pension to late Hero’s wife

Showing its generosity, Telangana Government has sanctioned a monthly pension of Rs. 10,000 to the widow of veteran actor Nata Prapurna T.L. Kanta Rao.
Late T L Kantha Rao, a renowned cine actor of five decades belongs to Telangana state and he hailed from Nalgonda district.Kanta Rao died in 2009 and his family was in distress with financial crisis. His wife Hymavathi is suffering from ill-health and after knowing this the director of Department of Culture had written a letter to the State government on humanitarian grounds recommending monthly pension to the wife of renowned cine artiste.
The government immediately accepted the plea and approved the request.Following a direction from the Chief Minister Tourism and Culture Department, released an order sanctioning monthly financial assistance of Rs 10,000 to Hymavathi.
Kantha Rao was starred in more than 400 Telugu mythological, social and folklore films. He has also acted in a few Hindi, Kannada and Tamil movies. He has produced about five films under the Hyma Films which caused him losses.
