Super Star Returns 32.5 Cr To Distributor
on Aug 10, 2017
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan was in full swing with continuous hits before the release of his last outing Tubelight. The Kabir Khan directed film released in this summer with lots of expectations had botched to live up to the prospects. Thus, distributors who acquired the movie rights incurred huge losses.
Salman Khan's father and ace writer Salim Khan then promised distributors to reimburse the loss sum to distributors by the end of July. Since, Salman Khan is in foreign country to shoot for his film Tiger Zinda Hai, he couldn't pay the money on time.
Salman Khan came back to Mumbai city yesterday and he called the distributors to settle their money. The amount of Rs 32.5 crores is just half of the total losses suffered by distributors over Tubelight.
Interestingly, Shreyans Hirawat who distributed Tubelight has suffered losses of around Rs. 50 crores on the Shah Rukh Khan starrer film Jab Harry Met Sejal.
It is to be seen whether Shah Rukh will follow in Salman’s footsteps and compensate for the losses or not!
