That’s The Biggest problem For Dhruva!

on Dec 7, 2016

Usually, critics and audience compare remakes with original versions which is the biggest problem for actors and filmmakers associate with the projects. Until and unless director takes extreme care in making needed changes to script without spoiling originality, it will be a risky thing to remake hit films of other languages in Telugu.

Except for very few films like Shankar Dada MBBS, Gabbar Singh etc, high percent of films remade in Telugu tasted bitter results. Naga Chaitanya’s last outing Premam was an average grosser, though director Chandoo Mondeti made adequate alterations to script by adding more humor in second half.

While huge budget spent on the film was one of the prime reasons, movie buffs didn’t feel happy with the outcome as they compared every bit with the original which was an industry hit, though Chaitu and Chandoo got appreciations for their work.

Coming to the actual point, Mega Power Star Ram Charan took brave decision by announcing to remake Thani Oruvan, when his last few films were rejected by audience.

Directed by Surender Reddy, the film Dhruva is ready to grace the theaters on December 9th. Analysts say that, critics and movie enthusiasts would compare Dhruva with Thani Oruvan in all aspects.

They say, it would be problematic, if the movie will be a frame-to-frame remake. It would also be a problem, if director alters any key sequences.

Moreover, Ram Charan’s performance would be compared with that of Jayam Ravi in Thani Oruvan. Jayam Ravi is a medium range star in Tamil, whereas Ram Charan is a star in Telugu. Some who haven’t watched the film doubt, why did Charan pick a non-starrer film?

Speculations are rife that, Aravind Swamy’s character has been trimmed as to elevate Charan’s character. If this is true, fans will be pleased to see Charan in a dominating role, wherein antis will criticize the makers for doing this change!

Ram Charan worked hard to attain a chiseled physique. But, at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is how audiences receive the film. Can Dhruva please critics as well as anti fans?
