When ANR Forced HIM To Reveal NTR’s Secret

on Oct 26, 2017

As we all know, yesteryear writer Paruchuri Gopala Krishna is a die hard fan of Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao with whom he worked for few films. The ace writer also used to share great rapport with Akkineni Nageswara Rao with whom he associated for three films- Guru Brahma, Brahma Rudrulu and Agni Putrudu. Paruchuri also acted alongside ANR in the films- Guru Brahma and Brahma Rudrulu.

Paruchuri Gopala Krishna played antagonist in Brahma Rudrudu. Though he was initially reluctant to play a negative role in Brahma Rudrudu, he was forced by producer Ashwini Dutt and Murali Mohan as well. Paruchuri revealed few interesting things happened while shooting for the film.

As per the story, ANR shoots Paruchuri who dies in the incident. While canning this sequence, NTR fans asked him, why did he accept to do the scene, for money. “You are a fan of NTR. How could you accept to get killed in ANR hands,” they puzzled me. This incident shows peaks of fanism, informs Paruchuri.

Recalling another incident, Paruchuru says that ANR has this habit of provoking until he gets needed answer from others. “NTR had once donned Swamy Vivekananda getup when he was Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. I was working for a film with ANR then. He went on asked me why did NTR sport the getup. Though I tried to convince him by saying I din’t know, he didn’t leave me. When I told him at last it was part of political game and he would gain publicity with it.

ANR again asked me is that possible? I replied him saying, ‘Sir you and NTR have been competeting in the field for last 35 years. Such great person like you have showed enthusiasm to enquire about NTR’s getup. You know how normal peoples eagerness will be. Eventually, he was convinced and tod me, ‘you are right.’”

Paruchuri Gopala Krishna recently admitted that he likes Jr NTR’s acting and he opined Jai Lava Kusa should have a different climax.
