on Jan 29, 2018
Gone were the days when Telugu directors used to make films with unique concepts. Of late, most of the directors are taking inspiration from Hollywood flicks. Sometimes, few directors are copying old movie concepts to make new movies.
Pawan Kalyan’s Agnyaathavaasi main plot was inspired from French movie Largo Winch and Balakrishna’s Jai Simha is also mixture of few South Indian old movies. Recent released Bhaagamathie is also not made with a fresh subject. The film has shades of Raju Gari Gadhi, Pizza etc.
If a speculation in film circles is to be believed, Allu Arjun’s Naa Peru Surya is also freemake of a Hollywood film Antwone Fisher which was made based on a book named Finding Fish.
Antwone Fisher is about an angry man who becomes violent after his father’s death. He later joins navy where he exhibits his annoyance even on seniors. He is then adviced to meet a psychiatrist whom he treats as a god father.
In fact, Naa Peru Surya first impact hints that the film has shades of this Hollywood flick which was a runaway hit. Vakkantham Vamsi who penned stories for several Telugu films is turning director with the film that has Anu Emmanuel playing female lead.
Bollywood music duo Vishal-Shekhar is providing music for the film which is slated for release on 27th April.
