PLOT
Uthama Villain opens up with an ordinary fashion and with an interesting scene between Kamal Haasan and Legendary Director K. Balachander. The story of Uthama Villain shifts between 8th century and 21st century with different incidents on both sides.
Manoranjan suffers from brain tumour and struggles for his life as the tumour was in the final stage. Manoranjan asks his mentor KB Balachander to direct a movie for him as his last wish.So, KB Balachander agrees to do a movie with him titled ‘Uthama Villain’. This story is about the street performance which happened in 1900. What happens to him? What is the past life of him? Opens up the rest of the story.
Performances
Kamal Haasan has as usual proved his versatility. Actor Nassar did his best and and gave tough competition to Kamal. K Balachander delivered natural realistic performance. There is a wide improvement in the performances of Pooja Kumar, Parvathy Menon and Andrea . Uravshi is best suited as Kamal’s wife.
Technical Review
Ramesh Arvind gave his best to impress the audience and he succeeded because of roping India's best actor Kamal Hassan while coming to the cinematography we cannot say this is excellent but good while Ghibran Back ground score is totally stunning . Digital intermediate is upto the mark while it is a dubbing film for telugu dubbing really went well , It played an important role in film success

Analysis:
This movie shows the struggles of an artiste to be the best among their competitors. Uthama Villain is a great classic with high emotions and great cinematography and music. Everlasting masterpiece from Kamal Haasan and Ramesh Aravind. If you are connected with the film, tears will run down your eyes.

A great tribute to K Balachander by his disciple Kamal Haasan!
