Review: Jaguar

on Oct 6, 2016

What is the use if people say that they have spent thousand crore for their movies which include action sequences and item numbers if the film can’t attract the audience? Now that you know that the introduction is for the movie “Jaguar” which belongs to the above mentioned category let us get into the details of the film.

Cast and Crew:
Karnataka’s Chief Minister H.D Kumaraswamy’s son, Nikhil Kumar has been introduced into the film industry as a hero with this movie. Actress Deepti has been casted against Nikhil as the female lead in the film, which has been directed by A Mahadevana and has been produced by S Smt Anitha Kumara Swamy under Chennambika banner.

Story:
Krishna (Nikhil Gouda) disguises himself and kills a judge. A famous TV channel which belongs to Shourya Prasad (Sampath Raj) live telecasts the murder on their channel, because of which tension prevails in the city. Krishna gets an MBBS seat and joins in his college. The government appoints a CBI officer (Jagapathi Babu) in order to catch the murderer who has been named as Jaguar. To know if Jagapathi Babu catches the murderer or not and to know the remaining part of the story one should watch the film.

Talent of the cast:
Nikhil’s costumes were good and the makers spent lot of money on make-up. The actor worked hard for the dance numbers and fighting sequences which were of no use. This movie is not enough for the audience to accept Nikhil as a hero. His action was average and on the contrary close up scenes were shot terribly. Actress Deepti’s role was limited and the director didn’t know how to use Jagapati babu’s talent. Ramyakrishna’s role was also limited and Sampath Raj who played the role of an antagonist proved his talent again. Even though comedian Bramhanandam worked hard he couldn’t entertain the audience much.

Technology:
The makers have spent Rs 70 Crore for the project and after watching the movie it could be said that the amount spent on it is totally worth. Chasing scenes and action scenes attract the audience and are the major highlights of the film. There is nothing new about the story of the film but Taman’s music and Manoj Paramahamsa’s photography was good.

Rating: 1.5
