Hrithik-Kangana case closed by police
on Nov 17, 2016
The case filed by Hrithik Roshan with the Cyber Crime department regarding an imposter in his legal battle with Kangana Ranaut found it’s verdict. Due to no positive leads to the server or finding the culprit, the case has been dissolved by the police. “We have been unable to find anything on the mail ID as the server is located in the US. Now it is very difficult to ascertain who was using the account. Still, we will try to conclude [the case] from the available evidence,” said Sanjay Saxena, joint commissioner of police, Crime Branch. The charges and counter charges played out in the media for a long time. A close friend of the Queen star claimed that in January 2014, Hrithik followed Kangana from Switzerland to Paris, where he proposed her — a claim rejected by Hrithik’s legal team. Kangana’s counsel has alleged that he hacked into her email to delete their private correspondence. Kangana’s lawyer, Rizwan Siddiquee, said the “NIL report” showed that there was no imposter as claimed by Hrithik. “We are not surprised to learn that the police have, after a thorough investigation, filed a NIL report, which means that they could not trace any imposter as was claimed by Hrithik Roshan… Kangana has always been maintaining that there was no imposter ever,” Siddiquee said.
