Stylish Star Allu Arjun's DJ- Duvvada Jagannadham is very strong in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The film minted around Rs 6 crores alone in the Telugu states on Eid day. However, the film botched completely to rake even decent numbers in overseas. Apparently, negative reviews and unenthusiastic reports are killing the film there. On Eid day, that means on Monday, DJ collected just $21,836 from 123 locations, taking four days total to $900,156 (5.81 cr). Overseas distributors are expected to incur huge losses as they shelled out big amount to acquire the rights.
Director Harish Shankar who is disappointed with critics negative remarks on DJ has made sensational comments on them saying who are they to call him an egoistic? Interestingly, the director is pretty confident of his film continuing to dominate box office to become a blockbuster. Let's see how the film performs on week days.
