Vijay Beats Mahesh Babu Rare Record

Usually, Telugu films which garner ‘A’ censor certificate won’t do much business in overseas region, since the films aren’t mean for family audiences. Class films with enthralling content rake good numbers in the zone.
However, Vijay Deverakonda’s latest sensation Arjun Reddy is rock steady at the USA box office. The small time film already minted $767k till Saturday and it is expected to enter 1 million dollar club by Sunday. If this happens, it will be the first million dollar grosser for ‘A’ rated Telugu films. Earlier, the record was on superstar Mahesh Babu’s Businessman with $709k.
Coming to domestic market, Arjun Reddy is the second highest weekend grosser in India for the films released last week. While Ajith Kumar’s Vivegam takes first place, Arjun Reddy which released only in Telugu states and was released in limited number of theaters in Karnataka is unstoppable at BO.
