Big B breaks silence on Ash's ADHM role

Ever since the first promo of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil was out, people were amazed at Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor‘s chemistry. The Bachchan family though has maintained a stoic silence on the issue. No mention on social media, no appreciation in front of the media and the family hadn't even watched the film. While addressing a gathering at the 22nd Kolkata Film Festival, veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan finally spoke about his daughter in law's bold avatar. Amitabh says that her character Sabah Taliyar Khan was every bit of a progressive woman Indian cinema needs today. He initiated a thought that Sabah tells her lover that she wants to be his desire and not mere need, she turns tables on men. What a brilliant perspective! This will for sure rest the rumours down which went off like wild fire, as speculations were rife that the Bachchans were not happy with Ash portraying the role opposite a much younger Ranbir Kapoor.
