Right from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai to Student of The Year, every film that Karan Johar has directed has featured Kajol in some way or the other. However, with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil going head-to-head with Shivaay, which is an Ajay Devgn vehicle, all bets were off. Kajol is not a part of ADHM and it came to Student of The Year alumnus Alia to fill in her boots. According to media reports, Alia Bhatt will be seen as a DJ in 'The Break Up Song' featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma. Karan Johar's new favourite, Alia Bhatt will make a blink-and-miss appearance in the much-anticipated romantic film. In an interview earlier, Ajay Devgn had said about Karan and Kajol’s equation, “I am not friends with him (Karan). Even Kajol’s equation is not as warm as it was. It is a personal issue… not due to any professional thing. It’s a personal hurtful feeling. It has nothing to do with the clash.” When asked about it recently, Kajol said, "Really sad about that but I am not going to talk anything related to that currently." Ajay Devgn's 'Shivaay' is clashing with Karan's 'ADHM' at the box-office this Diwali.
