Shakini Dakini, bankrolled by Suresh Productions, Guru Films, and Cross Pictures, will be released on September 16. The producers have scheduled a press conference, and filmmaker Sudheer Varma has dropped out of promotional activities.

When asked about it, the producers denied the rumours, claiming that the director is preoccupied with the film's post-production and other big film works. Sudheer Varma directed the official remake of the South Korean action comedy film Midnight Runners. Suresh Babu, Sunita Tati, and Hyunwoo Thomas Kim produced the film. The lead roles in this film are played by Nivedha Thomas and Regina.
