Manchu Manoj's new movie Mr Nookayya screening has been halted from today in all the multiplexes and single screens across the state following a legal notice from the Delhi High Court. The story behind this is the cell phone giant 'Nokia' has filed a suit at the Delhi Court to stop the screening of the film as they allege that the makers of 'Mr Nookayya' have used their company's registered trademark as the film's title. Recently, on Feb 6 the same court has directed the makers to change the title of the movie as it is striking similarity with the cell phone company's trademark. Though, the makers changed the title to Mr Nookayya and went ahead with the release the cell phone company again approached the court to stop the screening of the film. Meanwhile, Manchu Manoj has expressed his dissent over these developments and clarified that this title has nothing to do with Nokia.
