Updated : Jun 5, 2015

Investment and recovery. These are the two big risks that make any producer sweat if things doesn't fall in line. For crores involved, Baahubali is the that tension delivering project at the moment because Rajamouli has got near 150+ crores pulled into the arena for this epic war film that involves loads of visual effects.

For two parts, producers have nearly invested 150 crores and more. That means each part has to share around 75 crores of burden. With an industry hit like Attarintiki Daredi earning a share of nearly 67 crores in its full run at box office only from Telugu tinsel town, Baahuabli may not face any difficulties. Because the film is simultaneously releasing in Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi alongside Telugu version, recovery is much simpler. Already by shelling out the distribution and satellite rights, producers would have made table profits by now.

What is to be seen here is how Baahubali First Part is going to leave a mark on audiences. Only if Part-I impresses mightily then Part-II will have a higher success rate. As the shooting of Part-II is finished by 70% almost, maybe Rajamouli will pull more 20 crores to finish it. So if First Part scores well, even Second Part will click mighty. For now, Baahubali’s financial equations look perfect.
