That’s an all-hell-broke-loose kind of statement from the outspoken lady Lakshmi Manchu. As she says that India is more obsessed with her skin colour, because they don't like her to be dark, she says, talking about India’s like for white and fair skinned beauties.

“When working in Hollywood, they never asked me about my skin colour. But here in India, everyone talks about skin colour and they ask me to take care of complexion”, reveals Lakshmi, who’s running high with success of “Dongata”. But this is no joke. This discrimination on the basis of skin colour is nothing short of racism.

“Every girl is beautiful and unique despite her skin colour. Dark and dusky skin doesn't make you inferior to fair skinned person”, she concludes, adding that she feels proud of her dark skin.
