Spending 110 Cr On Rana Is A Risky Choice
on Oct 30, 2017
How much a producer should invest on a film? This utterly depends on how much business the lead actor’s last movie has done. Few times, director and few other factors will also be taken into consideration. Interestingly, a whopping budget is alleged to be spent on Rana’s next movie.
Rana Daggubati who is riding high with consecutive hits has signed two films- one is patriotic film 1945 and the other is mythological film Hiranyakasipudu. The shooting of the film 1945 has already begun. Rana plays a soldier of Subhash Chandra Bose’s Azad Hind Fauj (Indian National Army) in the film directed by debutante Satyasiva.
On the other hand, Rana’s other film Hiranyakasipudu to be directed by Gunasekhar will go on floors after the actor wrapping up his ongoing project 1945. Guess what, Hiranyakasipudu will be made on a staggering budget of Rs 110 Crores.
Though Rana is in career best form, spending 110 crores on his film is a risky choice, opine many. In fact, it needs huge budget to make mythological films off late. However, if Hiranyakasipudu which won’t have language barrier could please audience after release, it can do wonders at box office.
Bollywood top production house Viacom 18 will bankroll the project. More details will be unveiled soon.
