Anushka as Rani Rudrama Devi: Anushka Shetty, who has enthralled Telugu movie lovers with her brilliant performance in ‘Arundathi’ will be seen as ‘Rani Rudrama Devi’, says the sources. Director Gunasekhar, who has been very enthusiastic to make a periodic film, will be directing this historical movie. Earlier, names of Nayanatara and Anushka were considered for the roles but it seems that Anushka has been zeroed in as heroine in ‘Rani Rudrama Devi’. Thota Tharani will be taking caring of the sets and Maestro Ilayaraja will compose the music for this film. ‘Rani Rudrama Devi’ will be a bilingual film, which will be shot in both Telugu and Tamil languages
