Chana Dal Sundal
(Navaratri special)

 

 

 

Cooking is a part of celebration during this “ Navraatri”, so we all would try to prepare best foods which are the perfect offering to Goddess Durga and at the same time will try to make healthy dishes which are liked by everyone at home. Sundal is a food which is very rich in protein and can be made with different lentils. Today, I am presenting, “ Chana dal Sundal” which will be offered to Goddess Durga today.

 

Ingredients:
* Chana dal 1 cup
* Grated coconut 1/2 cup
* Green chillis 2
* Oil  1 tablespoon
* Mustard seeds 1/2 teaspoon
* Asafoetida 1 pinch
* Curry leaves 4-5
* Salt as required

 

Preparation:
* First soak chana dal for 3 to 4 hours and takeout the water and keep them aside.
* Heat a pan and add oil, then put mustard seeds, curry leaves and asafoetida. Now put green chilli pieces and stir once.  Now add soaked dal in to the pan and add salt also.
* Cook for 10 minutes and take out from flame.
* Finally add grated coconut to the above dal.
Your Chana dal Sundal is ready.
