TAGB's Deepavali Dhamaka 2011 was celebrated in great grandeur on November 20th 2011 at Littleton High School. Around 1000 members attended Deepavali Dhamaka 2011, which was completely filled with a spectacular variety of cultural items like multi color fire crackers and sparkles. The evening’s program began with local artists showcasing their talent in kids’ songs, classical and tollywood dances. A meaningful and comedy skit was presented based on the life of family in USA certainly one of the sparks of the evening. Later part of the program included group songs, social drama, dances and songs with track entertained guests of all ages and interests during 4 hours program.

TAGB conducted “Fashion Contest” and gave away titles Mr.Yuvakudu, Ms.Yuvathi, Mr.&Mrs.TAGB. Several members showed their interest in the last minute and put up a professional like performance on the stage. The finale of this particular item was glorified in rainbow of colors when few ladies from all committees joined the contest participants in their fashion parade. The vendor stalls were also very busy selling jewelry and clothes.

Super Singers Krishna Chaitanya and Sravana Bhargavi have divine voice which produced several melodious songs and needless to say that it was an added glitter to the evening show. Their 2 hours presentation was a pleasant surprise to many. It is a tradition that TAGB encourages local organizations in different forms at their events. This time a MIT student Sri Srikanth Bolla, a visually impaired student from a rural part of Andhra Pradesh, who reached to the higher level in his academic career, shared his views, educated and encouraged guests to support the cause.

President Koteswara Rao Kandukuri gave a detailed update on the organization and high-lighted the commitment and efforts put in by various Committees and Volunteers for organizing several successful events in 2011. During this year, TAGB encouraged community to participate in different areas of cultural, sports, youth, entrepreneur and charity, etc. The winners of recently conducted Tennis sports were awarded with Trophies.

Sri Mohan Nannapaneni who is a well-known philanthropist, sponsor of several events and past Chairman of TAGB Board of Trustee, was felicitated as “Boston Dhruvathara” by the Executive Committee and Board of Trustees on his election of Executive Vice President of TANA. His valuable contribution as an initiator of TANA TEAM Square and being the first Telugu community member who got elected to such a high position at national Telugu organization from New England region of USA is highly recognized. A special memento was awarded by the Board Chairman Sri Paparao Gundavaram.

Secretary Sri Ramesh Babu Tallam gave vote of thanks, appraised all the local and external artists for their wonderful performance on the stage. He thanked various sponsors (Sri Babu Tammisetty, Sri Poorna Rao Bolneni & Dr.Mukunda Dogiparthy), Food Stall Volunteers and Minerva Indian Cuisine for serving dinner. Finally, Kudos goes to various Committee members and Volunteers from planning through execution of this event. This memorable event concluded with singing India’s National Anthem.
