Bay Area Telugu Community paid rich tributes to beloved Chief Minister Dr.Y.S.RajaSekhar Reddy. This gathering was organized at Sunnyvale Hindu Temple on September 3, 2009 by various Telugu organizations. In spite of being a working day, many people attended the event to mourn and express their deep condolences to YSR’s family and friends. The program started by observing 2 minutes of silence in honor of the late leader & 4 other individuals (Subrahmanyam – Spl Secretary, Wesley – Security officer, S.K. Bhatia & M.S Reddy – Pilots) who lost thier lives in this tragic accident.
Veeru Vuppala (TANA, Jt. Secretary) said under Dr.Y.S.R’s dynamic leadership the state went to new heights. Veeru mentioned that YSR was the most popular among all the political leaders in India due to his commitment and tireless efforts to uplift the social and economical situation in AP. Further he said Telugu people around the world are proud of YSR’s work and contributions to the society.
JayaRam Komati (TANA President) remembered his close association with Dr.Rajasekhar Reddy and said the state lost a great leader. Prasad Mangina (BATA President) said Dr.Y.S.R is at the prime of his political career & was on path in implementing many prestigious projects to benefit A.P and his untimely death is big blow to people’s aspirations. Sateesh Chilukuri (TANA Board), Vijay Chavva (Telangana Cultural association), Prasad Durvasula, Ramesh Konda, Srilu Veligeti, Kamesh Malla, Srini Mangipudi, Srinivas Kolli,, Ravi Thiruveedula , Karun Veligeti, Srini Chimata & Bhaskar BandiKallu also paid tributes and respects to the departed leader. All the attendee’s wrote condolence messages in a diary.
The program was attended by TANA committee members , BATA executive committee members, Raj Bhanot (Chair Sunnyvale temple) along with his committee & other community leaders.
