T Cong MPs to go on Indefinite Fast: Madhu Yashki

Telangana Congress MP Madhu Yashki Goud today said he and other MPs in the Telangana region were prepared to launch fast-unto death if the Centre failed to announce the formation of Telangana state.

Talking to mediapersons after a meeting of the T-Congress leaders at his residence here, he said the proposed action was aimed to put more pressure on the Centre on the issue. It will be better if the Centre announces a road map of Telangana state quickly as all people of the Telangana area have been striking work voluntarily for the last three weeks, he said. The strike was historical, Mr Goud said. Mr Yashki also demanded that salaries be paid to the striking employees. He said all the Telangana Congress MPs were ready to resign enmasse, in case it became necessary.
