TD Activists, OU Students Clash at Mahanadu Venue

A group of Osmania JAC students tried to stage dharna against the ongoing TDP Mahanadu at Gandipet. The students demanded that the TD come clean on the Telangana issue and warned that they would disrupt the meeting. Immediately, a group of TD youth activists gheraoed the students and attacked them physically.

The police swung into action and took some students away while others escaped. One student, who was caught by the TD activists, was thrashed with sticks and slippers. He was later rescued by policemen. The TD president, Mr N Chandrababu Naidu, condemned the incident. In retaliation, the OU students attacked a fresh Heritage outlet at Vidyanagar and damaged glass showcases.
