Sujana Faults Pawan Kalyan

Union minister of state for science and technology Y Sujana Chowdary recently made some derogatory comments against the youth who had planned to hold a silent rally in Vizag on Thursday to demand special category status for Andhra Pradesh. “If they want Jallikattu, let them hold it. If they want cockfights or even pig fights, we have no objection,” said he.

Power Star Pawan Kalyan countered the Union Minister for his derogatory comments. He said Sujana’s comments had hurt the sentiments of the people and alleged that the Minister was also involved in duping banks after taking huge loans.

Eventually, Sujana Chowdary expressed regrets over his remarks. “I did not mean insulting the people. I was only reacting to the comparison drawn between Jallikattu and special category status. I apologize for my comments,” Sujana said.

Nonetheless, the Union Minister found fault with the Jana Sena President. “Let Pawan Kalyan come out and explain what additional benefits the state would get with the special category status, apart from what is given through special package. I will give answer to all his queries. If the special status was given, Polavaram project would have got only 60 per cent funds. Now, we are getting 100 per cent. There is absolutely no link between the special category status and setting up of industries. It is a false propaganda,” said Sujana.
