Salman Khan is guilty! announces Court

 

A Mumbai Sessions Court has announced its verdict on Bollywood top hero Salman Khan’s hit and run case nearly after 13 years of trial. The court declared that he is guilty in this case and deserve punishment. The court will announce his punishment after lunch break.

 

Salman Khan ran his car on to a foot path, while driving back to his home in Bandra on September 28th, 2002. Four persons sleeping on the foot path were injured and one person named Noorullah Mehboob Sharif was killed on the spot. A case was filed against Salman Khan in the year 2002 but his lawyers managed to prolong it until now.

 

Finally, the sessions’ court has found him guilty and going to announce punishment to him soon. The court has plainly stated that Salman Khan was found driving the car in a drunken stage and he also tried to mislead the court stating that he is not driving the car but it is his driver did the accident. The court plainly stated that it was a hit and run case and he need to be punished. The court will announce his punishment in a short while from now.

 

Salman Khan’s counsel has appealed the court to consider reducing the punishment keeping in view of his services offered to society and film industry. But, the prosecution lawyer argued that the punishment should be so intense that no one in the future will dare to drive the car in drunken stage. According to reports Salman may get jail term not less than three years under several sections. If he is convicted with less than 3 years jail term, then can secure bail immediately otherwise he will be sent to jail directly from the court and has to spend behind bars until his lawyers files bail petition in the high court and the court takes a decision on his application.

 

If he is sent to jail, Bollywood will have a big jolt as some producers have heavily invested on him. According to sources around Rs.240 crores were invested on his films and two films of him are in the shooting stage. Their fate will hangs in the air if he is sent to jail.
