Religious leaders' political interests

Political parties banking on cast and religion factor is nothing new in our country. It is no secret that people are also divided between political parties on the same basis. So, it makes the job easy for the political parties. Now they both very well knew about which community supports which party or vice versa. So, there is no need to discuss further on this issue.

However, saints and religious leaders, who are also well-connected to one party or the other, are shamelessly asking the people to vote for particular party only, instead of guiding the people in religious path.

We have recently seen Delhi Shahi Maszid Imam Buquari is asking Muslim people to vote for Congress party. Then there is Swamy Swaroopaananda, who conducts a rally in Rajhamundry asking the people to vote for BJP and Narendra Modi only, as he believes that he is the only savior of Hinduism.

KA Paul, who once planned to launch a political party to save the country, also seems to be dropped his idea due to unknown reasons, but take initiative to hold a press meet in TDP office for giving a call to his fellow Christians to vote for TDP only as he believes that Chandrababu is the only leader, who is capable to give a good governance.

Nevertheless, Brother Anil Kumar is asking the Christian voters to vote for his brother-in-law Jagan Mohan Reddy and his YSR Congress party only.
