Murali Mohan misused MAA Funds: Kalyan

Movie Artists Association (MAA) elections were never been this much spicy before. Jayasudha, who is contesting for MAA President Post said “I have never expected political intervention in the MAA elections.” The outgoing president Murali Mohan earlier said that he will try to make the elections unanimous to prevent the film industry divide into two groups. He said that he will take the help of veteran director Dasari Narayana Rao. But he seems to be dropped that idea after some actors supporting Rajendra Prasad has criticized him. Later, he declares his support to Jayasudha and is putting efforts to garner support to her in the elections to be held on Sunday. Hence, he is also being targeted by her rival camp.

O. Kalyan, who files a petition appealing the city civil court to stop the elections, criticized Murali Mohan after the court dismisses his petition. He said “Murali Mohan has not bothered to respond to my letters complaining about irregularities taking place in the MAA elections process. That is why I am forced to knock the court doors. Murali Mohan has donated Rs. 5 lakhs from the MAA reserve funds to a temple. Will he give money to me if I also want to construct a temple?”
