Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella meets Andhra Pradesh state Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu at Hyderabad on Monday around 7.45 am. He arrived 15 minutes before to their scheduled meeting.
Microsoft CEO reportedly agreed to extend his company’s support in education, agriculture and civil services sectors. He agreed to provide latest technology for agricultural development in the state and all necessary support to reduce the drop outs in schools. The Chief Minister appealed Microsoft CEO to extend his support for development of IT and Software industry in the state. He also requests Satya Nadella to set up a Microsoft Unit in Visakhapatnam where already some IT and software companies are in operating. He asked Satya Nadella to plan for a visit in the state so as to have an idea about state IT and software requirements.
Their meeting which is supposed to be held for 45 minutes lasts for more than 1.15 minutes. Satya Nadella explained the Chief Minister about his plans for these three projects in the state. An MoU may be signed by representatives of the state government and Microsoft Company for this purpose very soon.
