Madras high court has rejected the anticipatory bail petition filed by former Telecom Minister Dayanidhi Maran on Monday. The court asked him to surrender himself to police within three days. CBI has filed charge sheets against him and his brother Kalanidhi Maran for illegally obtaining 300 high speed data network lines for their SUN media network. They were also facing charges in money laundering offenses. So far, ED has attached their properties worth Rs. 742 crores. Hence, he is expecting arrest by the CBI anytime and so knocked the high court doors with anticipatory bail. But, it advanced his arrest instead of letting him go off the CBI hook.
