After stirring a hornet's nest with his reported comments on a possible TRS-Congress merger recently, TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao said that the four crore people of Telangana region would decide the party's fate.
KCR said that if Sonia Gandhi indeed wants his party to merge with Congress for granting separate Telangana state, he wouldn't mind giving it a serious thought. "But it won't be a party decision. I would leave the decision in the people's court," he said while addressing a public meeting here on Wednesday night. The party had not received any merger proposal from the Congress high command, he added.
The TRS chief said the Nizamsagar was going dry as it was linked to Singur reservoir to divert the Manjeera water to Hyderabad. "We will ensure Manjeera water for Nizamabad and Medak districts alone," he said.
He informed the public that T-News channel will roll out on March 29. "Telugu daily Namaste Telangana would roll out by April last and in June we will have a Urdu newspaper catering to T-region," he said.
