Kadapa Airport to become operational from 7th

The Civil Aviation Ministry has announced that Kadapa Airport will be inaugurated on June 7th. Union Civil Aviation Minister P. Ashok Gajapati Raju and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will inaugurate the airport on June 7th at 11.30 am.
Kadapa airport was built at a cost of Rs.42 crore by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) in 520 acres of land provided by the state government. The airport terminal was built to handle 100 passengers at peak time. The runway is capable to handle ATR-72 type aircraft operations. Airport will be expanded and upgraded to operate A320 flights depending on growth of passenger traffic.
Air Pegasus will be the first to take off from Kadapa Airport to Bengaluru on the June 7th at 11.50 am. It already opened bookings for its air services between Kadapa and Bengaluru. Air Pegasus will take off from Bengaluru at 10.40 am and lands at Kadapa Airport at 11.25 am. Again it will take off from Kadapa at 11.50 am and reaches leave for Bengaluru at 12.35 pm.
