India's new Chief coach, Anil Kumble is putting into effect various novel ideas in order to make the team perform better and also to make the members of the team more disciplined. Following the decision Anil Kumble to punish late-comers with a $50 fine, Indian fast bowler, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, has been tasked with chairing the committee which will be responsible for enforcing the rule.
Kumble, who beat Ravi Shastri to the post in June, has appointed pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar as the Chairman of the committee, with Cheteshwar Pujara set to collect fines and Shikhar Dhawan to hear appeals from players who feel they have been fined wrongly. Bhuvneshwar Kumar confirmed, “We have a Fine Committee now. It relates to punctuality and other rules which have been framed (for the players). If players don't arrive on time and if there is any other related issues (indiscipline), they have to pay fines.
I am the chairman, (Cheteshwar) Pujara will collect the fines and Shikhar (Dhawan) will take the appeals of those who feel they’ve been fined wrongly.” Kumble also restarted the former Indian coachJohn Wright-era's 'Buddy' programme where a senior player pairs up with a junior, with the purpose of the experiment being the improvement of communication between the team members.
