High Court takes up petitions on Entry Tax

The AP private travels association has filed a petition in the High Court today challenging the Telangana government’s decision of collecting entry tax from the AP vehicles entering into the state. They argue that the fresh tax levied upon the vehicles will not only become burden to the passengers travelling in the private busses but also to the common people in both states. Hence they appeal the court to order the state government withdraw the entry tax immediately.

Three separate petitions were also filed for the same purpose in the High Court today. After hearing their arguments, the court adjourned the case to Tuesday. However, it didn’t issues any stay orders on collecting entry tax from the AP vehicles.
