The ongoing Samaikyandhra agitations have brought the Seemandhra region to a standstill position. Yet, it seems there is no impact on Congress high command. While, the ruling Congress government in the state has turned a silent spectator, the Congress led UPA is clueless on how resolve the bifurcation problem. Yet, it is quite surprising to see Congress high command is very firm with its stand. Congress president Sonia Gandhi has said there is no turn around on Telangana creation. She asked the agitating organizations and political parties to give representation to the Antony Committee. She also declared another committee representing Government of India will be constituted to address the issues relating to bifurcation.
However, the Seemandhra leaders of the party have made it clear that whether it is Antony committee or some other committee, there will be no change in their demand. What they want is Samaikyandhra and nothing less is acceptable to them. Minister Sailajanath, who is vociferously agitating for Samaikyandhra has condemned the reports about launching new political party to counter their high command’s decision. He said all those agitating for Samaikyandhra will continue in the party, though they disagree with party decision. If, he is honest with his statement then it is to be understood that sooner or later all of they are going to all in line with party high command’s decision.
