Under the chief minister's Nagarothana scheme, the Karnataka government will take up a number of projects worth Rs 7,300 crore to revamp the IT City's infrastructure. The cabinet has granted this, which if implemented would bring back the lost sheen of the garden city. The projects involve massive road infrastructure development, construction of underground drainages, stormwater drains and development of footpaths. The law minister has said that the finance ministry has already agreed to release Rs.6050 Crores for the same.
