Chandrababu spells about state capital

AP CM Chandrababu Naidu responding to Congress leaders’ allegations of having secret agenda over making Guntur and Vijayawada as temporary capital said “Every person will have some level of selfishness. But, I am very much sure that I am not selfish in this regard. If, I am selfish, I could make Tirupati as the state capital, which falls in my native district and where 3,000 acres of vacant government land is readily available. If, the capital is located somewhere in backward area, it couldn’t attract the investors to the state. So, I am insisting for Guntur and Vijayawada area because it is centrally located and very ideal place. If we make it as our capital we can expect huge investments, which can be diverted to the backward areas. Although, I shift the government there soon, I will stay in Hyderabad for next 10 years to ensure safety and protection to Andhra people settled around.”

Still, opposition parties may not be convinced with his arguments, but he clearly spell his mind on why he is stressing Guntur-Vijayawada should be made capital of the state. However, still he has to answer on how he will avert save the precious fertile lands that are the main source of state food grains production.
