Chandrababu to demand Rs.1.5 lakh core package for AP

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s bumper offer of Rs.1.65 lakh crores financial package to poll bound Bihar state gives a ray of hope for cash strapped Andhra Pradesh state government. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is going to ask Prime Minister Narendra Modi Rs.1.5 lakh cores financial package apart from special status to Andhra Pradesh.
The finance and political experts in the statement government have worked overtime and prepared a 200-page dossier justifying Andhra Pradesh government’s demand for financial package and special status as well. Besides technical points that stress the need of granting the package, it also consist media reports about the ongoing agitations for special status and about the mood of the people of the state over this matter. Hence, the dossier reflects the state economical and political situation.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will present this dossier to Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his meeting rescheduled for August 25th. He is going to stress the Prime Minister to grant special status and also financial package to the state. Prime Minister Modi may not find any excuse to offer to him this time in wake of his recent announcement of financial package to Bihar state. Hence, this time people also can expect some very attractive package for the state.
