Pakistan cancels Commonwealth Meeting

It is evident that Pakistan is not willing to accept Jammu & Kashmir as integral part of India, although it is in India since last 7 decades. Pakistan never leaves a chance to raise Kashmir issue on international platforms. But, for the first time it is badly struck with its stand on Kashmir. It has to cancel the commonwealth parliamentary meeting to be held at Islamabad in this month because Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan has turned down its invitation.

She insists Pakistan to invite J & K Assembly speaker also to the meeting along with speakers of all states in the country. But, if Pakistan invites the J & K Assembly speaker to the meeting then it would be accepting that J & K state is an integral part of India. Hence, Pakistan refused Speaker Sumitra Mahajan’s proposal and so she also turned down its invitation to the meeting. Pakistan cancelled the meeting, as it couldn’t conduct commonwealth meeting in the absence of India.
