Why did he take pains to greet her so urgently?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has wasted no time in greeting AIADMK president Jayalalitha after the Karnataka High Court freed from her disproportionate assets case. But, what is the necessity or urgency for him to greet her, when people of the country are reacting differently on the Karnataka High Court’s verdict that freed her from her 18 year-old disproportionate assets case taking excuse of some technical reasons. Perhaps, his greetings should be seen as a feeler sent by the BJP to her AIADMK party.

People in large in her state believe that she was subjected to political harassment by her political rivals all these years and she finally comes clean and victorious. So, a huge sympathy wave is sweeping across Tamilnadu state in favour of her now. Hence, speculations are ripe that she may go for mid-term elections for Assembly to cash in this sympathy wave. Even if she has no such ideas for now, Assembly elections are scheduled for next year. Probably, that is what encourages the BJP to send feelers to her through Modi’s greetings. If she accepts BJP feelers, then both parties may join hands in the elections.
