Father of Mimicry passes away

 

Most famous mimicry artist Nerella Venu Madhav has passed away. Venu Madhav has such a skill in Mimicry that he was often recognised as father of mimicry, and his birthday (December 28) is celebrated at world mimicry day. From artists to politicians, Venu Madhav started mimicking the voices of various people from an early age of 16. His talent grew along with him leading to thousands of stage shows. Venu Madhav has even a great talent in acting. With the experience of stage acting, he was given a cameo role in famous blockbuster `Gudhachari 116’.

Venu Madhav was the first mimicry artist to perform at United Nations. He was also nominated as a member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council in 1971. He received the Padma Shri for performing arts from the government of India in 2001. Telangana Chief Minister has expressed his condolences and ordered a state funeral for the legendary artist.
