Yevam trailer promises intriguing crime thriller

The Telugu audience have always greeted content-driven and new-age films with cheers. Director Prakash Dantuluri is ready with 'Yevam', his upcoming release. It stars Chandini Chowdary, Vasishta Simha, Bharat Raj, and Aashu Reddy in lead roles. The film is produced by CSpace and Prakash Dantuluri Productions. Bankrolled by Navdeep and Pavan Goparaju, the film's gripping trailer is out. Star director Anil Ravipudi released the trailer.

"In a crime, there are no coincidences, there are only mistakes." This line from the Trailer of 'Yevam' suggests that the film is going to be an intelligent crime thriller drama with smartly written characters.

Chandini Chowdary plays a cop who faces social and gender-based barriers when she enters the police department. The odds are stacked against her not only in the department but also in terms of the dismissive attitude of elders at home. "Does a woman deserve to be a cop?" a male elder says, potentially lowering her morale. But she stays the course with perseverance, egged on probably by her love interest, also someone from the police department.

In the later portions, the trailer introduces the crime element. We see Vasishta Simha's character engaged in a heinous crime. Ashu Reddy has a role in these portions. Also starring Bharat Raj, the film most surely has Chandini in an author-backed role. After 'Colour Photo' and 'Gaami', she is poised for another hit!

The film has been made with the theme of women's empowerment. 'Yevam' is going to be released in theatres worldwide on June 14.
