Natasimha Nandamuri Balakrishna is known for his simplicity and helping nature. He has been successfully leading Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital which was initiated by his father Sri Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao to assist cancer patients.

Director Krish who made a super hit film Gautamiputra Satakarni with Balakrishna unveiled an incident occurred while shooting for the film. When the production unit was canning a key episode, Balakrishna and a little kid who played his son in the film fell down from a horse. Though almost 100 horses were coming his way, Balakrishna preferred to stay there to save the child. Fortunately, horse trainer reacted quickly and placed Balakrishna’s horse as a blockade for them.

Krish also stated that Balakrishna knows horse riding and he easily domesticated Arabian horse.
