Varisu is the latest film under the direction of Tollywood's successful director Vamsi Paidipally. It will be released in Telugu with the title Varasudu. Kollywood star hero Thalapathy Vijay is playing the hero in this film. Rashmika Mandanna is playing the female lead in this film which is currently being shot at quick pace.

In a recent interview, director Vamsi Paidipally made key comments on the film. When asked by the interviewer whether Varisu is a bilingual film or Tamil film, he clarified that it is a Pakka Tamil film. So, it is now confirmed that the Telugu version of this movie Varasudu is a dubbed movie.

He said "Varisu is a proper Tamil film. It is a family story at the base line, but it has all the elements Thalapathy Vijay Sir and his fans expect. SS Thaman scored chartbuster songs for the film."

Starring Prabhu, Jayasudha, Srikanth, Sarathkumar, Meena, Khushbhu, Sneha, Maheshwari and Sanghavi, the film is slated to release in January 2023 during Sankranti festival. Produced by Dil Raju, the music is composed by musical sensation Thaman.
