Kannada Superstar Upendra is known for his distinctive themes and unique storylines. As a director and writer, he looks to always experiment and give a new theatrical experience to everyone watching. Upendra is back with his directorial, UI after taking a gap of a decade as director while he was busy with his acting projects. 

The actor talked to press about his upcoming film, due for a wide release in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi languages all over on 20th December. He classified the movie as a philosophical Kalki in a light-hearted manner as it also involves dystopian world. 

Upendra continued to state that the movie will be interactive with the audiences encouraging them to decode several layers while entertaining them thoroughly. He told that he doesn't like to have a slow narrative or long runtime, so his film will have only two hours two minutes runtime. 

He also stated that he took two years to write, conceive and take the film on sets. He thanked producers G Manoharan and Sreekanth KP for producing the movie on a massive scale with huge budget. He remarked that movie will give a new theatrical experience to everyone. Prestigious Geetha Film Distribution is releasing the film in Telugu.
