Tapsee Pannu, who is getting thunderous applause from all quarters for her superb performance in the movie PINK, was the reason behind the filmmaker's tears, in an emotional way though. Taapsee is one of the leading actresses of the film, touched Shoojit Sircar's feet for offering her the role and this left Sircar in tears. “I am thankful to everyone who has liked the film. We wanted people to see the film before and then talk to them so it would be more interesting to talk about it and because it’s a thriller and we couldn’t talk about it before. I cannot imagine the kind of reaction that we have got.
One thing I would like to request everyone is that please don’t ask about the box office collection of this film,” Sircar said at the press conference of Pink. Sircar, who is known for his content-driven films, says he would make stories only when there is some lesson to be learnt. "People ask me 'why don't you do potboilers?' But in school, I learnt only one thing -- that there has to be some moral to the story. And if there is no moral, there is no point in making a film. He also spoke about making the film tax free. "We want it to be tax free. People have been asking us to make it tax free. I think we are on the verge of making it tax free," Sircar said.
